About Lisa
Life doesn't have to be hard. Your job doesn't have to be a "grind."
You don't have to be miserable for the sake of success. Or even "good enough."
You CAN have a career that makes you feel FANTASTIC!
I know because I'm living life & success on my terms.
But I didn't always know this.
I thought I was doing pretty good. From the outside, and on paper, everything looked almost perfect. I had a great education and a career that was moving fast. I was getting amazing experience, working for a well-known company, and making more money than I ever thought possible. I married the man of my dreams, we bought a beautiful home, and had started a mini-empire of rental houses. We traveled several times a year to exotic places like Fiji and Iceland. We had cars, a boat, a quad and a hot-tub to relax in after all that playing.
We thought we had it all.
But at the same time, I was constantly busy. I could feel myself getting sucked into a suburban lifestyle that I hadn't asked myself if I even wanted. I used to be exhausted all the time. I had lost my clear career direction and wasn't sure what my next move would be. I didn't know how I was contributing to the world and I didn't get to do the things I'm really good at very often. I didn't hate my job. In fact, there were lots of great parts about it. The people were pretty awesome. Some of the work was really interesting. But it wasn't for me and I didn't love it. It wasn't my dream.
Then, I had a health scare. Even though the doctor told me not to go home and google the results until we knew for sure, I did what every person does.
I googled it.
Lung cancer.
As a non-smoker, it was something serious and could mean I only had a year or two left to live.
I remember talking to my husband that night about what life would be like if we only had a year or two left. And I asked myself, "what would I do if I only had a year or two?" The first thing that came to my mind was "move to Vancouver."
I was lucky. I did not have lung cancer (and the doctor was right - I should not have googled it).
BUT I'm so glad I did. Because I realized this:
I was waiting for someone to tell me that I was going to die before doing the things I really wanted to do.
At that moment, I decided to make a change.
So here I am. I made a commitment to start doing things today.
I finally took that trip to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand I'd been wanting to do for years.
I moved to Vancouver.
And I decided I would start my mission so you can start NOW!
You CAN get unstuck, and back in control of your career. Define and live success on your terms. Be uplifted so you LOVE your life!
This is what I want for you. And I have a feeling this is what you want for yourself too.
I want you to stop living life on auto-pilot, get real about what you want and GO GET IT!
I'm not waiting for someone to tell me I'm going to die before I start taking my life into my own hands - and I don't want you to either.
